On pickupPuts the item in Isaac's pocket item slot. The item cannot be used.

While heldThe next active item picked up removes Clear Case and puts the item in its place, in the pocket item slot.

The active item cannot be swapped for another.

If the player already had an item in their pocket slot, it will drop that item on the floor. This will prevent it from being put back in the pocket item slot.

Clear Case cannot appear as a shop item.
